summary
WP-S3000 is a 125°C curing epoxy resin system from WAM that provides an optimal balance of static properties (flexural/compressive strength and elasticity) and dynamic properties (impact strength, fatigue properties). It is widely used in the manufacture of bicycles, hockey sticks, tennis rackets, golf clubs, and other similar high-performance sporting goods. By adjusting the fluidity of the resin, adhesion and softness compatible with the prepreg operation process are obtained. Differences in application characteristics (viscosity and softness) are minimized with changes in temperature, and WP-S3000 can be stored for four weeks at ambient temperature and one year at -18℃.
Features and Benefits
- Medium-viscosity standard epoxy resin for various molding processes and pipe molding.
- Optimal balance of static and dynamic physical properties: high impact strength and high flexural strength
- Excellent resin fluidity
- Hot-melt resin/solvent-free: Minimized porosity for highest quality
- Optimum prepreg workability: good flexibility, minimized differences in resin properties with temperature changes
- Reasonable price and good quality
- Storage life: (at 25℃) about 4 weeks
Recommended Application Processes and Application Products
- Molding Processes (Blow Molding, Tank Molding, Bench Molding).
Bicycles, hockey sticks, tennis rackets, helmets, machinery accessories, etc. - Reeling process: fishing rods, golf clubs, arrow shafts, camera tripods, etc.
Reference curing conditions
- Molding: 90 min ~ 30 min (120 ~ 150℃)
- Tube (golf clubs, fishing rods) molding: 30 minutes 80°C + 90 minutes 125°C
Molding conditions: Adjustment is required according to the thickness of the product, heat transfer, and molding method.
