appliance
- Used as a curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins, possibly in combination with cobalt accelerators.
- Temperature range: 70°C to 150°C
- Dosage Level: 1-21 TP3T, may be used with cobalt accelerants of 0.5-11 TP3T.
- The "shelf life" (gel time of the resin + peroxide) can last several weeks at room temperature (depending on the resin type, filler and pigment).
- The "working time" (gel time of resin + peroxide + accelerator) can last for several days (depending on temperature and peroxide level).
- Shelf life or working time can be significantly extended by adding Inhibitor BC-500 with 0.1-0.3%.
Half-life data
- Half-life: 10 hours/1 hour/1 minute (benzene, 0.1 mol/L): 74°C/92°C/130°C
