Appearance:Pale yellow, flowing liquid composed of technically pure tert.Butylperoxy benzoate.
Primary Application:Used as an initiator (source of free radicals) for monomer polymers such as the polymerization of ethylene, styrene and methacrylates.

Areas of application:
- Ethylene: Used as initiator for the polymerization of high-pressure ethylene together with other peroxides of various degrees of activity. Temperature range: 200-250°C.
- Styrene: Polymerization initiator for bulk or suspended styrene. Temperature range: 100-140°C. Suggested dosage: 0.02-0.11 TP3T as supplied in stock solution.
- Other monomers: initiator for the polymerization of (meth)acrylate and allyl monomers, if necessary in combination with more active peroxides, in particular dibenzoyl peroxide or tert.Butylper-2-ethylhexanoate (TBPEH). Temperature range: 100-140°C. Suggested dosage: 0.1-1% as supplied in the stock solution.
