MYPC is a peroxide commonly used as an initiator in monomer polymerization reactions, such as polymerization of vinyl chloride.

Technical data:

• Appearance: White greasy flakes.
• Content: approx. 97% w/w.
• Active Oxygen (AO): approximately 3.01% w/w.
• Bulk density at 25°C: approx. 440 kg/m3.
• Melting point: approx. 45°C.
• SADT critical temperature: approx. 35°C.
• Maximum transportation temperature: 20°C or less.
• Recommended storage temperature: below 20°C.
• Storage stability after delivery: 6 months.
• Standard package: 20 kg cardboard.

Applications:

• Used as initiator for the polymerization of vinyl chloride and is suitable for most temperatures in the range of 45 - 60°C.
• Dosage level: 0.03 - 0.151 TP3T.
• Benefits include reduced crust formation in the reactor and "fish eye" formation in the polymer.

Caveats:

• Heat, light, humidity and impurities should be avoided.
• Store within the safe temperature range.
