Applications:
- Polymer crosslinking:
- For cross-linking polyethylene (HDPE and LDPE) at temperatures greater than 180°C.
- Effective and relatively burn-in free.
- Dosage: 0.5-2% mass ratio according to the material to be cross-linked.
- Volatile, odorless decomposition product.
- No sulfide surface odor.
- Polypropylene rheology control:
- Used as a source of free radicals to control the rheology of polypropylene.
- Temperature range: 200°C - 220°C.
- Dosage: Based on 0.01% - 0.1% mass ratio of polymer.
- The lowering of molecular weight averages makes polypropylene easier to reprocess.
Standard Packaging:
- DTBP is supplied in 20 kg (44.1 lb) polyethylene tanks.
