Trigonox EHP-W50
Di(2-ethylhexyl)peroxydicarbonate, 50% Water Emulsion
CAS Number: 16111-62-9
Physical form: Emulsion
Trigonox? EHP-W50 (50% water emulsion) is a polymerization initiator for the (co)polymerization of vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride.
appliance
Polymerization of Vinyl Chloride - Trigonox? EHP-W50 is used as an initiator for the suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride in the temperature range of 40°C to 65°C. Trigonox? EHP-W50 can be used in combination with other peroxides such as tetramethylbutyl 1,1,3,3-neodecanoic acid tetramethylbutyl peroxide (Trigonox? 423), isopropylphenylene peroxynitride (Trigonox ? 99), or lauroyl peroxide (Laurox) in combination to improve reactor efficiency. Reasons for using water-based peroxide emulsions instead of solvent-based peroxides are as follows: Improved safety Easy to use in "closed reactor technology" (pumpable) Easy to dilute with water.
