Next generation innovation
We use science and technology to develop sustainable, innovative solutions that benefit our customers. For example, Trigonox? 501-CS40 is the most effective organic peroxide available on the market for controlled rheology polypropylene (CR-PP). This product offers certain advantages over commonly used modifiers.
Why develop this new product?
As the scale of polypropylene production plants continues to expand, there is an increasing need for post-reaction modification of polypropylene in order to produce customized polypropylene grades. Controlled rheology polypropylene is one of the most well-known modified polypropylene varieties and has a wide range of applications in packaging, fibers, nonwovens and other fields.
None of the peroxides currently used for this application are ideal: they have certain disadvantages such as high volatility, poor organoleptic properties, complex handling and safety issues, and high cost.
Trigonox? 501-CS40 is Trigonox? 301Trigonox? 501-CS40 is a next generation organic peroxide for CR-PP. It meets the industry-wide need to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in CR-PP resins by producing significantly lower VOCs than other commonly used peroxides. Trigonox? 501-CS40 also shows excellent sensory properties and has been approved by the BfR (German Federal Institute for Risk Research) and FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) for food contact applications.
It is worth noting that Trigonox? 501-CS40 does not require any temperature regulation for storage, thus simplifying daily operations. Finally, it must be mentioned that Trigonox? 501-CS40 is cost-effective and helps to reduce the production cost of controlled rheology polypropylene.
