use::
- Trigonox 301 is an effective peroxide in the extrusion process for the production of controlled rheology polypropylene (CR-PP).
- Its decomposition products do not contain acetone or tert-butanol.
- Suitable for CR-PP end products.
Half-life data::
- The activity of organic peroxides is usually expressed in terms of their half-life (t1/2) at different temperatures.
- The half-life of Trigonox 301 in chlorobenzene is 0.1 hr (170°C), 1 hr (146°C), 10 hr (125°C).
thermal stability::
- Organic peroxides are thermally unstable substances and may undergo self-accelerating decomposition.
- Self-accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT): 110°C
save::
- Due to the relative instability of organic peroxides, some mass loss may occur over time.
- A maximum storage temperature (Ts Max) of 40°C is recommended for each organic peroxide.
- When stored under recommended conditions, Trigonox 301 will remain within specification for at least 6 months after delivery.
Packaging and transportation::
- Standard packaging is 25 kg of peroxide solution in 30 liter HDPE (Nourytainer?) drums.
- Packaging and transportation comply with international regulations.
Security and handling::
- Keep the container sealed.
- Store and handle in a dry, well-ventilated area away from heat, ignition sources and direct sunlight.
- Avoid weighing in storage rooms.
- Avoid exposure to reducing agents, acids, alkalis and heavy metal compounds.
- Storage temperature should be above 10°C.
- Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for more information on the safe storage, use and handling of Trigonox 301.
