Product Information:
- Trigonox 117 Solar is a highly efficient crosslinking peroxide primarily used as a crosslinking agent for encapsulated films (EVA / POE) in the production of crosslinked photovoltaic devices.
- CAS No.: 34443-12-4, Molecular weight: 246.3.
- The active oxygen content is 6.491 TP4T of peroxide.
- Specification: Active oxygen ≥ 6.39%, appearance of transparent liquid, content ≥ 98.5%, color ≤ 30 Pt-Co / APHA, moisture ≤ 0.15%.
Characterization and applications:
- The density is 0.930 g/cm3 and the viscosity is 5.8 mPa.s at 20°C.
- The recommended dosage of Trigonox 117 Solar is suggested to be 0.51 TP4T to 1.751 TP4T by weight of the polymer.
- Can be used to crosslink polymers at moderate temperatures, typical crosslinking temperature is 130-140°C.
- Recommended for demanding applications such as crosslinked ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) or polyolefin elastomer (POE) films that are ultimately used in the production of photovoltaic devices, the curing reactivity allows for solar cell lamination temperatures of 135 - 170°C.
Thermal stability and storage:
- Self-accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT) of 60°C meets international regulations for thermal stability.
- The recommended maximum storage temperature (Ts Max.) is 20°C. When stored under the recommended conditions, the product remains within Norn Chemical's specifications for at least 3 months after delivery.
Packaging and transportation:
- Trigonox 117 Solar is packaged in 30 liter HDPE drums (Nourytainer) containing 25 kg of peroxide per drum. It complies with international transportation regulations.
Security and Handling:
- It is recommended that it be stored and handled in a dry, ventilated area away from heat or ignition sources and direct sunlight. Avoid contact with reducing agents, acids, alkalis and heavy metal compounds.
- Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for more information on safe storage, use and handling.
