When used to crosslink ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) polymers, Luperox? TBEC polymer initiator offers good thermal stability, crosslinking efficiency and short cure times. Luperox? TBEC can also be used for food contact styrene polymerization because it produces non-aromatic fragments upon decomposition.
Curing of UP resin based thermo-compression molding formulations (SMC, BMC, ZMC, etc.) in the temperature range of 120-170°C is preferred. For crosslinked EVA, it is the faster crosslinking of polymers and elastomers at lower processing.
CUROX ? SOLAR FC1 is a colorless, flowable liquid composed primarily of technically pure tert-butyl peroxy-(2-ethylhexyl) carbonate. It is a peroxycarbonate with advantages in thermal stability and is mainly used for crosslinking ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA), especially for photovoltaic applications.
