appliance
- Vinyl: initiator for high-pressure ethylene polymerization, also used for the copolymerization of ethylene and ethylene vinyl acetate. Temperature range: 130-190°C. Has liquid properties that allow dosing and metering without dilution even at low and high pressures. Will not crystallize in high pressure pumps. Higher activity than tert-butyl peroxyisopentanoate, thus reducing the amount of initiator used and lowering the starting temperature.
- Other Monomers: Initiator for mass, suspension or solution polymerization of (meth)acrylates or other vinyl monomers, possibly in combination with more thermally stable peroxides to reduce residual monomer content in the polymer. Temperature range: 50-80°C. Recommended dosage: 0.04-0.11 TP3T.
