Product Overview:
- TAHP-88 is a colorless, fluid liquid containing approximately 881 TP3T of tertiary amyl hydroperoxide desensitized by water.
- It is mainly used in polymerization reactions of monomers, especially in emulsion polymerization processes, e.g. of vinyl acetate or (meth)acrylate.

- Recommended storage temperature: 2°C to 35°C.
- Storage stability (activity) from the date of delivery: 12 months.
Standard Packaging:
- 25 kg in HDPE drums.
- Also available in 190 kg drums, supplied from Germany.
Half-life data:
- 10 hr/1 hr/1 min (chlorobenzene, 0.1 mol/L): 153°C/190°C/228°C.
Applications:
- TAHP-88 is used as an initiator in emulsion polymerization processes including vinyl acetate, (meth)acrylate, acrylic resin coating dispersions, styrene/butadiene or acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene in combination with appropriate reducing agents (e.g., Fe salts).
- Temperature range: 50°C to 80°C.
- Dosage level: 0.11 TP3T to 0.51 TP3T, as is.
Decomposition products:
- Possible detectable breakdown products include tertiary amyl alcohol, acetone and 2-butanone.
Storage:
- It is recommended to avoid the effects of heat, light, humidity and impurities.
- The product should be kept within a safe temperature range.
