Synolite 0544-I-2 is a pre-promoted, thixotropic o-phenylene unsaturated polyester resin with low viscosity and medium reactivity.

major application

Synolite 0544-I-2 has excellent mechanical properties, with an elongation at break similar to most glass fiber reinforced materials, and can be used for structural parts with high demands on mechanical properties. The product is suitable for both hand-lay-up and injection molding processes.
Synolite 0544-I-2 has been certified by Lloyd's Register of Shipping as a marine resin. 0544-I-2 has been stabilized to withstand tropical temperatures and is suitable for transportation and storage in tropical areas.

Instructions for use and precautions

Synolite 0544-I-2 resin already contains accelerator, after long-term storage, the thixotropic agent in the resin may gradually precipitate, it is necessary to make it evenly dispersed before use, either by reversing the drum and rolling it several times, or by stirring it properly in the container.

Curing agent can be used MEKP, the dosage is 1.0~2.5%. it should be ensured that the curing agent is within the validity period.

In order to make the cured products have better performance, it can be cured at 80℃ for 3~4 hours after curing.
