SWANCOR CP95 is a special primer resin for concrete lining projects. It provides a strong and firm double-sided adhesion that hardens to produce a strong, heat- and corrosion-resistant interface; its surface also provides sufficient unsaturated chains so that the recoat can be combined with SWANCOR CP95 to form a perfect lining design.
characterization
exterior condition | Light yellow transparent liquid |
stickiness | 100 to 300 cps (LVT#3-60 rpm/25°C) |
Gelation time | 5-25 minutes (55% MEKPO: 1.2%, 6% Cobalt caprylate: 0.4%, 100% DMA: 0.05%, Temperature: 25°C) |
retention period | 6 months (below 25°C) |
caveat
(1) Before applying the coating, confirm the nature of the concrete as follows:
a. The perishable period is greater than 30 days.
b. Moisture content less than 8%.
c. Compressive strength greater than 21 MPa.
d. Have proper pre-treatment.
(2) For the topmost layer of concrete, a wooden trowel is recommended. To preserve the quality of the surface.
(3) When powdered with an iron trowel, the concrete hardens and a non-strength layer of laitance usually forms on the surface, which can be removed by the following methods:
a. Removal by abrasive blasting, both dry and wet.
b. Mechanical removal.
(4) After SWANCOR CP95 is coated, the residual adhesion on the surface will remain for some time, and the coating should be applied within 4 hours to 7 days.
(5) SWANCOR CP95 should be kept in a cool place to ensure the quality. For the convenience of customers, we also provide SWANCOR CP95-P with cobalt salt for customers' choice.
Packaging, Storage, and Handling
- SWANCOR CP95 comes in 5 gallon steel drums weighing 20kg each.
- Store in a cool place and keep out of direct sunlight.
- Flammable liquids, keep away from sources of ignition.
Other notes
- SWANCOR CP95 is a reactive resin and should be stored in a cool place. If it is stored for too long, the lid can be opened and air pumped in to prolong its storage time.
- The gelling characteristics of SWANCOR CP95 are affected by weather, temperature, hardener content, accelerator content and additives, so it is advisable to test the gelling time with a small amount before changing the operating formula to facilitate processing.
