Superox? 688 Product Description
- Superox? 688 is a methyl ethyl ketone peroxide product for curing unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins with accelerators at room temperature.

- Recommended storage temperature is 30°C or below, optimal storage temperature is below 25°C.
- Store in original container away from combustibles, heat, sparks, ignition sources, sunlight, cobalt naphthenate, co-catalysts, accelerators, oxidizing agents, reducing agents, strong acids or bases.
- In the event of a container leak, remove the container and isolate it to a safe area, repack it or dispose of it immediately.
- Storage in refrigerators where food and beverages are stored is prohibited.
- Use the product with the earliest production date first.

- Production personnel should handle safely and check the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet).
- Remove from the storage area only the amount to be used once.
- Wear protective eyewear, gloves, and chemical-resistant gloves.
- Keep away from heat, fire and sparks and avoid inhaling vapors.
- Dilution is not recommended and direct addition of peroxide to the co-catalyst or vice versa is prohibited as violent degradation may be initiated.
- Avoid exposure to contaminants such as dust, overspray, wood and flammable materials.
- Avoid contact with certain substances including polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon?, Tygon? or similar materials, glass, 304 or 316 stainless steel or equivalent.

- EYES: Immediately wash with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; seek medical help.
- Skin: wash with soap and water.
- INGESTION: Drink large quantities of milk or water, seek immediate medical attention, do not induce vomiting, and it is recommended that you call your local drug control center.
(of a liquid or gas) leak
- Use an inert material (vermiculite or sand) to absorb the spill immediately.
- After absorption, moisten moderately with water and place in a clean plastic bag for disposal in accordance with state and local regulations.
fire (that burns buildings etc)
- The peroxide ignites and undergoes a violent accelerated combustion.
- Use water at a safe distance to extinguish fires, preferably with water mist nozzles.
- For very small flames, carbon dioxide, foam or dry powder can be used to extinguish the fire.
- If the fire is in or near a storage area, spray with water to reduce the temperature of the storage container.

- The standard package size for Superox? 688 is a 25 kg polyethylene plastic drum.
