Brylon Matea A 400-976A is a m-phenylene type unsaturated polyester resin with medium viscosity and high reactivity. It meets the requirements of "Hygienic Law of the People's Republic of China on Unsaturated Polyester Resin and Glass Reinforced Plastic Products for Food Containers and Packaging Materials" (GB 13115-1991).

Brylon A 400-976A is suitable for pipes, tanks, automotive parts, ships and counter molded and other molded products requiring high mechanical properties. It is used in hand lay-up, winding, RTM and pultrusion, casting grids and other molding processes.

Instructions for use and precautions
- Brylon A 400-976A resin does not contain accelerator, cobalt accelerator should be added when using, the amount of 0.5~2.0% (1% concentration).
- The curing agent can be MEKP in the amount of 1.0~2.5%. It should be ensured that the curing agent is within the validity period.
- The resin contains no wax.
- In order to ensure the non-toxicity of fiberglass reinforced plastic products, A 400-976A is used with the following requirements for the amount of accelerator and curing agent:
Tertiary amine: ≤0.1%
Cobalt octanoate, or cobalt naphthenate: ≤0.03% Peroxide: ≤3.0%
Food-grade FRP products made with A 400-976A must be fully post-cured: 3 to 4 hours at 80°C. The product must be rinsed in hot water or steam for 1 to 4 hours. Then, rinse in hot water or steam at 80°C for 1~2 hours.
Hours. No glass fibers should be exposed on the surface of the product. The finished product must not come into direct contact with peroxide.
