appliance NOROX ? SHP-90 in combination with cobalt accelerated resins has been shown to be an excellent curing system for unsaturated polyesters at both room and elevated temperatures. The cobalt content (naphthoic or octanoic acid in 11 TP3T solution) should be in the range of 0.11 TP3T to 1.01 TP3T. The advantages of NOROX ? SHP-90 over MEKP initiators are that you get a more complete cure, less residual styrene and stronger parts. Compared to standard AAPs, you get a similar gelling time, slightly higher peak exotherm, but better final cure.Typical applications for NOROX? SHP-40 include manufacturing processes such as RTM, fiber winding, centrifugal casting and continuous lamination.
