Primary Use:
- Used as a curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins, usually in combination with a cobalt catalyst at room temperature.
- For curing thin-walled molded parts.
Characteristics and applications:
- NOROX? FC-100 consists of acetone acetone peroxide and tert.Butylperoxybenzoate modified by acetone diol.
- The curing agent introduces intense heat, resulting in short release times and very good mold release.
- Even at temperatures below 20°C, curing remains relatively fast, especially in combination with Accelerator CA-12.
- Some fillers, color pigments or stabilizers may interfere with or completely prevent curing.
- Compared to standard AAP (NOROX? PD-40), gel and peak times are similar, but peak temperatures are higher. This helps reduce residual styrene and improves solid surface properties.
- Not applicable to vinyl ester resins.
Processing methods:
- The products can be used to cure thin-walled molded parts in a variety of processes such as vacuum and injection molding (RTM), fiber winding, wet compression molding, centrifugal casting (pipes) and continuous impregnation (corrugated sheets).
Storage and Disclaimer:
- Protect the product from impurities by avoiding any heat, light and humidity.
- Keep within a safe temperature range.
