descriptive
- NOROX? CHM-50 is a solution containing cis-isopropylbenzene peroxide and an accelerator. It is a liquid polymerization initiator for curing vinyl ester resins at room temperature and has the following advantages and properties:
- Moderate peak exotherm, usually lower than methyl ethyl ketone peroxides (MEKPs).
- Medium gel time in vinyl ester resins.
- Excellent final cure.
- Low impurity levels (water, hydrogen peroxide, salt, etc.).
- No gas generation.

appliance
- NOROX? CHM-50 is an excellent liquid polymerization initiator for room temperature curing of Novolak's vinyl epoxy resins, which require a reasonably long cure time without outgassing. Gel times and peak times are typically longer than those obtained with MEKP products such as NOROX? ENP-102. However, the hardness of the final cured resin is usually superior to that initiated with MEKPs. After curing, styrene emission levels are usually lower than with MEKPs.
decomposition product
- Possible detectable breakdown products: ethylbenzophenone, cis-isopropanol
