Applications:
- Used as a curing agent for polyester resins, suitable for all resin types, temperature range 80-160°C.
- Usage: 1-2% as supplied.
- "Shelf life" (gel time of resin + peroxide, excluding catalyst) can be up to several weeks at room temperature, depending on resin type.
- Sensitive to certain fillers and pigments as well as cobalt salts and tertiary aromatic amines.
- Shelf life can be significantly extended by adding inhibitors (BHT, p-phenylenedione) of 0.1-0.31 TP3T.
- Used for hot compression molding of unsaturated polyester resins and other molding processes.
