Product Description::
- NOROX ? 411 is a colorless liquid composed mainly of technically pure tert-amyl peroxy-2-ethylhexanoate.
- This is a branched aliphatic peroester used as a free radical initiator for unsaturated polyester resins hardening at 70 - 150°C, possibly in conjunction with cobalt accelerators.

appliance::
- Polyester Hardening: Hardening agent for UP resins, may be used with cobalt accelerators. Temperature range: 70 - 150°C.
- Recommended dosage: 1 - 21 TP3T, may be used with accelerator Co-1 at 0.5 - 11 TP3T.
- "Shelf life" (gel time of resin + peroxide) is several weeks at room temperature, depending on the resin type, filler and pigment.
- The "Pot life" (gel time of resin + peroxide + accelerator) can be several days, depending on the temperature and the amount of peroxide used.
- Shelf life or Pot life can be significantly extended by the addition of BC-510, an inhibitor of 0.1 - 0.3 %.
Hardening Properties::
- In the range of 65 - 75°C ("kick-off" temperature), hardening is not very fast, unless there is an exothermic reaction (e.g. in an insulated mold). A short hardening time can only be achieved in the optimal temperature range of 110 - 130°C in a wet mold.
Treatment::
- Particularly suitable for continuous impregnation (paper-layer pressing), moist-heat compression molding, surface coatings for wood varnish, and infrared-heated electric insulating varnish.
stockpile: Avoid any source of heat, light, humidity and protect the product from impurities. Keep it within the safe temperature range.
