Neogel? 8373-W-XXXX is an isophthalic neopentyl glycol (ISO/NPG) gelcoat with a number of important properties: ease of application, good resistance to prolonged immersion in water (good blistering properties), excellent weathering properties (less yellowing), air release, good mechanical properties according to the American ANSI-Z-124-1 standard, and approved by DNV Italia and RINA approval.
Application Characteristics
Neogel? 8373-W-XXXX is a pre-promoted rheology gel coat that is ready-to-use and available in a variety of colors in the following types:
- Sprayable (Neogel? 8373-W-XXXX)
- Brush type (Neogel? 8373-W-XXXX H)
Standard or additional versions are also available on request: - Spray type (with paraffin)
- Brush type (with paraffin)
Conventional equipment can be used for the spray type, and the following settings are recommended:
- Spray gun (nozzle φ 2.0-3.5 mm, pressure 4-5 bar)
- Airless spraying equipment (nozzle type: 18/40-21/40)
For optimum performance, the recommended actions are as follows:
- Temperature control between 18°C and 25°C
- Cure with recommended MEKP* 50% solution, adjusted between 1.0-2.5%.
- Film thickness 600-800 g/m2

Packaging, storage and handling conditions
Neogel? 8373-W-XXXX is supplied in packages of approximately 22 kg. It should be stored in its original sealed packaging at a temperature not exceeding 20°C, out of direct sunlight and away from direct heat sources.
Under these conditions, the product has a stabilization period of three months from the date of shipment. However, the stability period for the fast-drying (ΑFAST) version or the black and green/blue dark colors is two months under the recommended conditions.
