Nouryon is the market leader in conductive carbon blacks. Carbon black is often used as a conductive medium in polymers.
Carbon blacks are distributed throughout the polymer structure, thus providing a balanced conductive effect and enabling polymer surface volume resistances of up to 1 ohm.cm. Unlike antistatic agents, this conductive effect is not dependent on mobility or humidity. Our Armostat? range of antistatic agents provides excellent antistatic effects with surface resistances as low as 101? ohm. For even lower resistances, Ketjenblack? EC conductive carbon black is preferred.
Our Ketjenblack? EC superconducting carbon blacks (CAS reg. no. 1333-86-4) range are high purity superconducting carbon blacks. Due to their unique structure, Ketjenblack gives plastics and elastomers exceptional electrical conductivity in very small quantities compared to conventional carbon blacks. This results in superior processing properties and mechanical properties of the end product.
