Product Description.

• DHBP-50-WO is a colorless, flowable liquid composed of 50% 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert.butylperoxy)hexane and white mineral oil.
• The main use is as a rheology control agent for polypropylene.

• Active Oxygen Content (Calculated): approx. 5.5% w/w
• Anti-sensitizer: white mineral oil
• Density (20°C): approx. 0.87 g/cm3
• Viscosity (20°C): approx. 29.1 mPa-s
• Refractive index (20°C): approx. 1.446
• Color index (Hazen): about 20-40
• Density: not mixed with water, can be mixed with alcohols and esters
• Critical temperature (SADT): greater than 80°C
• Freezing point: below -5°C
• Recommended storage temperature: not exceeding 40°C
• Storage stability after delivery date: 12 months

Applications.

• For controlling the rheological properties of polypropylene in the temperature range of 200-220°C.
• Recommended Use Level: 0.01-0.21 TP3T w/w of polymer based on product supplied.
• The use of DHBP-50-WO can lead to a decrease in the molecular weight of polypropylene, making it easier to process and reprocess, as well as increasing the melt flow index of controlled rheology materials.

Additional information.

• The document also contains information on the effect of peroxides used for polymer crosslinking and the effect of stabilizers on the efficiency of the degradation process.
• Standard packaging is 800 kg plastic IBC, 1000 kg stainless steel IBC and 25 kg HDPE drums.
