DHBP-5-IC5 is a 5% bead particle of 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert.butylperoxy)hexane in polypropylene. It is primarily used as an initiator to control the rheological properties of polypropylene at temperatures above 200°C. It is also used as an initiator to control the rheological properties of polypropylene.
Product Description.
- DHBP-5-IC5 is a white beaded pellet containing approximately 51 TP3T w/w of 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert.butylperoxy)hexane, which is antisensitized by polypropylene.
- The main use is as a rheology control agent for polypropylene.

- Peroxide content: approx. 5% w/w
- Active Oxygen Content (Calculated): approx. 0.52% w/w
- Anti-sensitizer: Polypropylene
- Density (20°C): approx. 0.38 kg/l
- Critical temperature (SADT): approx. 90°C
- Recommended storage temperature: not exceeding 40°C
- Storage stability after delivery date: 6 months
Applications.
- For controlling the rheological properties of polypropylene in the temperature range of 200-220°C.
- Recommended Use Level: 0.1-1.01 TP3T w/w of polymer based on product supplied.
- The use of DHBP-5-IC5 can lead to a decrease in the molecular weight of polypropylene, making it easier to process and reprocess, as well as increasing the melt flow index of the controlled rheology material.
