Applications: CUROX? M-402 is primarily used as a curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins and can be combined with cobalt accelerators at room temperature. The standard dosage is 1-31 TP3T as supplied, combined with 0.2-21 TP3T of an 11 TP3T cobalt solution. Resin + Peroxide has a short gel time, usually only a few hours, depending on temperature and resin type. Resin + peroxide + accelerator also has a short cure time, even if only a small amount of accelerator is added.
Curing performance: Has a medium exotherm, resulting in less internal stress and longer mold release times. By using minimal levels of accelerator, there will be only a slight discoloration in the finished product.
Processing methods: Particularly suitable for processes with short gel times at low cobalt content, e.g. casting of buttons or button pieces as well as continuous impregnation (corrugated) sheets.
Packaging: CUROX? M-402 is available in standard package sizes of 5 kg and 22.5 kg polyethylene bottles.
