Description.
- CUROX? M-312R is a red liquid consisting of a mixture of peroxides based on methyl ethyl ketone peroxides desensitized primarily by fatty acid esters. The peroxide is used as a free radical initiator for unsaturated polyester resins cured at room temperature in combination with cobalt accelerators.
- Suitable for curing molded parts at room temperature in combination with cobalt accelerators. The red peroxide allows for controlled homogenization in the resin and the red color disappears after curing.
- For special pre-accelerated and stabilized resin types.

- Storage stability from date of delivery: 6 months
- Standard packaging: 5 kg and 22.5 kg HDPE drums
Applications.
- Suitable for curing all unsaturated polyester resins in combination with cobalt accelerators at room temperature. Particularly suitable for resins based on phthalic and isophthalic acids.
- Standard Dose Levels: 1-31 TP3T as supplied, 0.5-21 TP3T with 11 TP3T cobalt solution.
- The "shelf life" (gel time of the resin + peroxide) is usually only a few hours, depending on temperature and resin type.
- The "conformal period" (gel time of resin + peroxide + catalyst) is relatively short, but can be extended by the addition of a TC-510 inhibitor. In this way, the mold release factor (fMR = tMR/tgel) can be significantly improved.
Curing Properties.
- Medium heat release, long mold release time, medium mold release factor.
- Temperatures below 20°C significantly extend the curing time, or cobalt/amine accelerators can be used.
Processing Methods:
- Particularly suitable for hand laying, spray laying, RTM, continuous lamination, centrifugal casting, fiber-wound and polyester concrete.
- SPRAY EQUIPMENT: Use spray equipment according to manufacturer's instructions. Make sure all safety devices are functioning properly. Do not spray MEKP into the air to clean the gun.
Decomposition products.
- Decomposition products that may be detected: acetone, methyl ketone, fatty acids, acetoacetyl ketone
Storage.
- Avoid heat, light, humidity and protect the product from impurities. Maintain within a safe temperature range.
