Armowax W-440 is a unique processing aid and compatibilizer for highly filled polyolefins, but also for engineered polymers and elastomers. It significantly improves the processing behavior and performance of filled polymer compounds. Armowax W-440 is a polymeric ester of a long chain alcohol. As such, the molecule contains both hydrophobic and hydrophilic groups. Therefore, it is also described as a double comb polymer. The combination of hydrophobic and hydrophilic groups improves the wetting of the polymer matrix on the filler surface. This ensures optimal dispersion.

Armowax W-440 is characterized by a molecule with dual hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups. This mixture of groups facilitates the wetting of the filler surface by the polymer, resulting in optimal dispersion of inorganic fillers such as calcium carbonate, talc, carbon black or glass fibers.

With good compatibility with polymers and a low melting point, Armowax W-440 also improves polymer processing flow. If conventional dispersants do not meet the needs of your application, try Armowax W-440.
