Luperox? DTA polymer initiators are used for the high temperature polymerization of solvent-borne acrylic resins for coatings, primarily in the automotive or industrial markets. The tertiary amyl peroxide produces acrylic resins with good polydispersity and low solution viscosity because the free radicals produced are more selective. This reduces hydrogen seizure (cross-linking) of the polymeric substances.
